The July 4th Curse - an excerpt

Jen recently completed her Competent Communicator project #4 How to Say it. Here's an excerpt from her speech.

Greg Fox presented his speech for Project 7 - "Research your topic" entitled "The Long Road." It was a well-researched piece about the state of the print and broadcast advertising industry. Although it showed our current downturn, much of his research pointed to improving economic conditions in the next few years.

Rick Valentine entertained us with some particularly fun table topics about "home" and "home town."

Gene Trainor attended the meeting and announced that he plans to join. We are very excited to be adding yet another member to our club.

Open House Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009

We always welcome new members, but this is a special meeting with food and fun. No one will have to speak in front of the group if he or she doesn't want to.

The Star-Telegram Toastmasters meet weekly every Tuesday from Noon - 1:00 PM in the Team Center on the Second Floor for a fun hour of activities designed to help members learn to communicate clearly.
