Another great meeting! Aug. 18, 2009

Greg Fox presented his speech for Project 7 - "Research your topic" entitled "The Long Road." It was a well-researched piece about the state of the print and broadcast advertising industry. Although it showed our current downturn, much of his research pointed to improving economic conditions in the next few years.

Rick Valentine entertained us with some particularly fun table topics about "home" and "home town."

Gene Trainor attended the meeting and announced that he plans to join. We are very excited to be adding yet another member to our club.

Dyan Horton is inducted into the club

During our Aug. 11, 2009 meeting, Dyan Horton was inducted into the Star-Telegram Toastmasters.

Open House Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009

Come for a chance to win a door prize, participate in our 50/50 raffle as well as improve your public speaking, come up with those witty rejoinders on time, not after-the-fact, and have fun while meeting other Star-Telegram employees at the Toastmasters' open house!

We always welcome new members, but this is a special meeting with food and fun. No one will have to speak in front of the group if he or she doesn't want to.
